This year the Water For People Committee will be embracing the great biking culture and beautiful scenery of Portland by bringing a new event to the 2019 PNCWA Annual Conference – Pedal For People. Join us on a casual bike ride and tour along the Willamette Riverfront in Portland while raising money for Water For People. All net proceeds for this event will be donated to Water For People and support their mission to develop high-quality drinking water and sanitation services, accessible to all, and sustained by strong communities, businesses, and governments. The event will start and end at the DoubleTree, the main conference hotel, and will follow a 12-mile loop along the river with rest and informational stops with refreshments planned along the way. This event is not meant to be a race and guests of all cycling abilities are encouraged to participate. Participants will be divided into groups, each group riding at a pace suited to their abilities and paced by a group leader. Registration for this event is separate from the conference. The bike route we will be following can be found at the bottom of this page or by clicking on the link above. $80.00 per rider renting a cross bicycle (Hybrid of a road and mountain bike and helmet) $50.00 per ride providing their own bicycle and helmet Disclaimer PNCWA2019 reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at any official conference event, without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video.
