5K Fun Run

The PNCWA Water For People 5K Fun Run will take place the morning of October 21st, 2018 at 8:30 am, with the start and finish at the Agriculture Pavilion at Julia Davis Park, just 4 blocks away from the Boise Centre.

The PNCWA Water For People committee is putting on the run to raise funds for Water For People, an international non-profit with the goal of providing sustainable clean water and sanitation solutions to communities around the world. The running route will be an out-and-back, along the Greenbelt from Julia Davis Park to Kristin Armstrong Memorial Park, with an aid station located at the turn-around point. Net profit from the registration fees will be donated directly to Water For People. There is an option to increase your fundraising potential by asking for pledges for your run or walk through Water for People's personal fundraising pages! The Fun Run is open to runners and walkers of all ages. 

The registration fee includes a t-shirt which can be picked up when you check-in before the run. T-shirt size not guaranteed. The funky tunes of brass band, Rippin' Brass  greet runners during check-in and after the run. 

By participating in the Fun Run, you can make a difference in the lives of people across the world just by getting out and enjoying a beautiful morning along the Boise River!

 

 

Waiver and Release of Liability 

All participants must sign a waiver and release of liability form when you check-in onsite at the race. By registering, you agree to sign the waiver and release of liability onsite for yourself and any other run participants for which you are a legal guardian.

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the PNCWA Water For People 5K Fun Run I agree to assume all risks inherent in participation in such program, whether they are apparent to me or not. I certify that I am in good physical health and fit to participate. Nevertheless, I acknowledge that participation carries an inherent risk of injury to my person and damage to my property. I hereby waive and release, for myself and for my heirs and assigns, any and all claims, causes of action, or liabilities which may hereafter accrue against Pacific Northwest Clean Water Association (PNCWA), and its affiliates, their agents, employees, volunteers, officers, directors, successors and assigns, Water For People, the City of Boise, Boise Parks and Recreation Department, and any and all sponsors, their representatives and successors, that may arise as a result of my participation in the PNCWA Water For People 5K Fun Run, including any and all claims for personal injuries caused by PNCWA’s negligence.

Further, I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of these events for any legitimate purpose, including promotional advertising, without monetary payment to me. The PNCWA Water For People 5K Fun Run will be conducted either rain or shine. I understand that the entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

This section to be read and acknowledged by parent/legal guardian if any Participant is a minor:

As the parent/legal guardian of any PNCWA Water For People 5K Fun Run Participant, I hereby waive and release on behalf of my child, any and all claims, and causes of action, or liabilities which may hereafter accrue against Pacific Northwest Clean Water Association (PNCWA), and its affiliates, their agents, employees, volunteers, officers, directors, successors and assigns, Water For People, the City of Boise, Boise Parks and Recreation Department, and any and all sponsors, their representatives and successors, by reason of my child’s participation in said program, including any and all claims for personal injuries caused by PNCWA’s negligence. In addition, I accept full responsibility for the care and supervision of my child during the above-described run.
